Create a simple product

Primary path

1. Open Products (/dashboard/products), then click Add Product (/dashboard/products/add).
2. On the General tab, in General Information:
   • Fill Product Title.
   • Set Product Status to Published (Visible to Customers) (not Draft).
   • Set Sale Type if needed: Retail, Wholesale, or Retail & Wholesale.
   • Choose Product Type from the list when it appears after category selection.
3. On the Pricing tab under Pricing Strategy:
   • Enter Price (base price before sale).
   • Optional: enter Sale Price if discounted, and Cost Price for internal margin.
4. On the Stock tab:
   • Keep type as Simple Product (no options).
   • Enable Track Stock if you manage quantity.
   • Enter Available Quantity.
   • Optional: enable Hide When Out of Stock.
5. Optional on the Media tab: upload a main product image.
6. Click Add Product.

Expected result

You see Product added successfully! and return to the Products list. The public product page shows title and price because status is Published.

Core fields

• Product Title: name shown to customers.
• Price: base price before sales.
• Sale Price: shown when on sale; must be lower than Price.
• Product Status: Draft is hidden; Published (Visible to Customers) is visible.
• Track Stock: when off, the product stays always available with no quantity.

Common mistakes

• Saving as Draft then looking for it on the storefront: customers will not see it.
• Entering a total quantity while type is Product with Variants: use the variants guide instead.
• Leaving the form without Add Product: the product is not saved.
