Can I set different permissions for each staff member in Vareons?

Access control in Vareons gives each staff member a granular matrix of view, create, edit, and delete permissions per resource, covering resources such as customers, orders, products, inventory, discounts, staff, and settings. The matrix persists in a dedicated record and is reviewed from a dedicated component on the staff screen, linked to member creation that can email login credentials. This granularity enables least privilege: each role sees and performs only what it needs.

Steps for setting each member permissions

1. Open the member file in staff management and go to the permissions section.
2. Set per resource what fits the role: view only for follow-up, create and edit for execution, delete only when necessary.
3. Review sensitive resources such as settings, payroll, and discounts before saving.
4. Save the matrix and ask the member to log in to confirm only what they need appears.
5. Review permissions periodically and on role changes so they stay aligned with current duties.

A common mistake is granting wide permissions for simplicity, which exposes data and blurs accountability. Starting narrow and widening on real need works better, with the reason for each sensitive permission documented.
