Shipping on Vareons for online stores in Egypt

Shipping on Vareons combines shipping-zone and pricing setup, per-product shipping rules, connecting local shipping carriers, and sending an order to a carrier while storing the tracking number on the order.

Shipping settings are managed from /dashboard/shipping in the dashboard. The core idea is that shipping is not a single number: it is determined by the destination, the product rules, and the account setup.

First, shipping zones: the merchant defines the areas they ship to and the price of each, and can restrict selling to specific countries or areas. At storefront checkout, Vareons calculates the shipping total on the server from the merchant's price table for the destination (city, then country, then governorate, then the default value), instead of trusting a value sent by the browser.

Second, per-product shipping: product-level shipping rules can override the general table price depending on the store's cart shipping calculation mode: take the largest line price, sum the prices, or use the table price with a single free-shipping product exception.

Third, shipping carriers: Vareons includes native integrations with Bosta, Aramex, J&T Express and FedEx. A carrier is connected from the dashboard, then the carrier's delivery areas are mapped to the store areas before sending orders. After connecting, an order can be sent to the carrier, and the tracking number and carrier shipment reference are stored on the order and shown in shipping history.

Finally, follow-up: shipping status, tracking number and shipment reference are stored on the order itself, shipping orders appear in a dedicated view with period, status and paging filters, and a shipping label can be printed from the order page.

    Setup steps in Vareons

    1. Open shipping settings

From the dashboard open /dashboard/shipping. Shipping zones, their prices, and carrier connections are managed here.

    2. Create a shipping zone with its price

Create a shipping zone, set the countries or areas it covers, and its shipping price. The total is calculated at checkout from this table for the customer destination. See the shipping zones reference for details.

    3. Connect a shipping carrier

From shipping settings connect the carrier you use, such as Bosta, Aramex, J&T Express or FedEx, by entering the account details the carrier requires.

    4. Map delivery areas

After connecting, map the carrier's delivery areas to your store areas so the system knows which delivery area matches each address before sending an order.

    5. Send the order to the carrier and save tracking

From the order page send the order to the connected carrier, then save the tracking number or keep the reference the carrier returns; it appears in the order shipping history. A shipping label can be printed from the same page.

    Frequently asked questions

Does Vareons support Egyptian shipping carriers?

Yes. Vareons includes native integrations with Bosta, Aramex, J&T Express and FedEx, and a carrier's delivery areas can be mapped to store areas.

How is the shipping price calculated at checkout?

Vareons calculates it on the server from the merchant's price table for the order destination, with the option to apply product-level shipping rules based on the store's cart shipping calculation mode.

Can a different shipping price be set per product?

Yes. Product-level shipping rules can be added, such as free shipping for a product or a product-specific price, applied according to the calculation mode: largest price, sum of prices, or the table price.

Can shipments be tracked inside Vareons?

The tracking number and carrier shipment reference are stored on the order and shown in shipping history, with a shipping-orders view filtered by period and status. Live tracking with the carrier remains on the carrier's own account.

Can shipping be restricted to specific countries or areas?

Yes. Shipping and zone settings define the allowed destinations and their prices, and checkout shipping is calculated from those settings.

    Troubleshooting

    1) If a shipping price looks unexpected, review shipping zones and prices, product shipping rules, and the cart shipping calculation mode. 2) If a carrier does not appear when sending an order, confirm it is connected and its delivery areas are mapped. 3) If no tracking number appears, save it from the order page after creating the shipment with the carrier. 4) Live tracking is on the carrier's account; Vareons stores the tracking number and shipment reference on the order.

    Important limitations

    • Live shipment status tracking depends on the carrier itself. • Product shipping rules apply through the store's cart shipping calculation mode, not as fully independent pricing. • Some carriers require valid merchant account details before use. • Carrier charges are set by the carrier; Vareons does not define them.
