Problems

WhatsApp messages accepted by Meta but never delivered

A merchant connected WhatsApp and enabled order confirmation, Vareons logs show accepted, but customers receive nothing and WhatsApp Manager insights stay at zero.

Why this happens

Because business-initiated messages require billing, while the free tier only allows customer-initiated conversations. Enabling the toggle in Vareons does not create billing in Meta.

What Vareons does about it

Vareons sends the approved order_confirmation_ar/en template with five variables, normalizes the number to E.164, records a mapping per outboundMessageId, and shows monotonic sent/delivered/read/failed states. Without billing the diagnosis stays accepted with no delivery.

  • orders.whatsapp.confirmation — WhatsApp order confirmation: Available
  • crm.whatsapp.send — WhatsApp send from CRM: Available

Limitations

Vareons cannot fix Meta billing from code. The fix is in WhatsApp Manager: a valid payment method plus currency, time zone, address, and business verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Logs show accepted but nothing arrives, why?

That is the classic billing pattern: the graph accepts the template, then blocks delivery for lack of a valid payment method on the business account. Open the messaging manager and add a valid payment method while completing the account details.

Is switching confirmation on inside Vareons enough?

No, flipping the switch inside the platform never creates billing at Meta, and business-initiated messages need billing while the free tier covers customer chats only. Complete billing setup and verification in the messaging manager first.

Can Vareons fix Meta billing from code?

No, billing repair happens inside the messaging manager by adding a valid payment method with currency, time zone, address, and business verification. The platform role is sending the approved template and showing delivery states in a clear sequence.
