Missing new-order alerts without browser push notifications

A busy merchant away from the desk relies on opening the dashboard every now and then to discover new orders, so cash-on-delivery confirmation and shipping slip, and contact messages or fresh leads are sometimes found too late.

Why this happens

Because the dashboard is pull by default: no sound and no banner until browser notifications are enabled per device, and merchants assume enabling on the laptop is enough, then discover the phone stayed silent because each browser holds its own subscription.

What Vareons does about it

Vareons pushes each new order over Web Push to every paired device with a deep link to the order page, offers a test button that verifies delivery without a fake order, sends an opt-in daily digest at 00:05 Cairo time summarising the closed day, and records every pairing, change, and test as a pwa event in /dashboard/activity.

  • platform.pwa.browser-notifications.supported Browser (PWA) push notifications: Available
  • platform.pwa.daily-summary-digest.supported Daily summary PWA digest: Available
  • orders.management.supported Order management: Available

Limitations

Browser notifications serve the merchant and team only, not store customers; each user is capped at five devices; the daily digest is off by default and needs an explicit opt-in per device; and storefront PWA install for customers is not built yet.
