Blocked products in catalog sync: the readiness strip never completes
A merchant connected Meta and TikTok, yet the readiness strip shows blocked products that never reach ads, and the status table fills with cryptic errors.
Why this happens
Usually because of missing images, prices, descriptions, or unsettled color and size keys, so the eligibility engine rejects the item and records it as blocked instead of sending it.
What Vareons does about it
The app shows a readiness strip with the blocked count and a per-platform error status table with per-item and retry-all-failed actions, five-second progress polling, XML and CSV feed URLs as a manual alternative, and a sync engine with exponential backoff up to six retries.
- apps.catalog-sync.supported — Catalog Sync app (Meta + TikTok): Available
- apps.marketplace.supported — Apps marketplace (install/open/uninstall): Available
Limitations
Retrying cannot fix missing data; the product must be completed first. Sync logs expire after thirty days and cannot serve as an old archive.
