Stock analytics and forecasts on Vareons for online stores in Egypt

Stock analytics on Vareons is the reporting page inside Stock Management that turns recorded stock movements into actionable forecasts: a risk level per product, an expected depletion date, a reorder point, and a suggested purchase quantity.

Last verified: 2026-09-19

Stock analytics opens from the Advanced Analytics button at the top of /dashboard/stock-management, showing /dashboard/stock-management/analytics with two tabs: Overview and Forecasting.

The Overview tab shows a summary counting products per risk level: critical (expected to run out in under 3 days), low, healthy, overstock, and unknown, with an Action Needed card directing merchants to critical products first, and a data-quality card explaining that 30 days of data gives the highest accuracy. Clicking any product opens its detail panel.

The Forecasting tab groups products by risk level with current stock and depletion days per item. The product detail panel shows current stock, depletion forecast in days and date, reorder point with a needs-reorder alert, suggested quantity, 7-day sales averages (plus 30-day in advanced mode), sales trend (rising, falling, or stable), three depletion scenarios (best, worst, average), and prioritized recommendations.

Forecasts are built from analytics snapshots refreshed on demand at most every 3 days, and appear after enough stock movements are recorded for a product. Per-product analytics can also be opened from any row actions menu inside Stock Management via the advanced analytics option.

Setup steps in Vareons

  1. Open the Advanced Analytics page

From the dashboard open /dashboard/stock-management, then click the Advanced Analytics button at the top to open /dashboard/stock-management/analytics.

  2. Review the risk summary

In the Overview tab review the critical, low, healthy, and overstock counters, and start with the critical products in the Action Needed card since they are expected to run out in under 3 days.

  3. Inspect a product forecast

Click any product to open its panel: compare current stock against the reorder point, and note the expected depletion days, suggested quantity, and sales trend.

  4. Compare the scenarios

In advanced mode review the three depletion scenarios (best, worst, average) to estimate the safe time window before the item runs out under different sales conditions.

  5. Act on the recommendation

When a Reorder Needed alert appears, prepare a purchase order for the suggested quantity, then update the quantity from Stock Management when goods arrive so it is recorded as a movement.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find stock analytics in the dashboard?

From /dashboard/stock-management click Advanced Analytics to open /dashboard/stock-management/analytics, or open single-product analytics from its row actions menu.

What do the critical, low, healthy, and overstock risk levels mean?

Critical means expected depletion in under 3 days and deserves review first, low means running out soon, healthy means sufficient stock, and overstock means a high balance that may need promotional pricing.

How are the reorder point and suggested quantity calculated?

The reorder point is derived from average daily sales times coverage days, and the suggested quantity covers roughly thirty days of expected consumption; both improve as stock movements accumulate.

Why do I see a no-analytics-data-yet message?

Because forecasts are built from recorded stock movements, a new or rarely moved product has too little history to compute. Record sales and adjustments and forecasts appear gradually, with the highest accuracy at 30 days of data.

Are stock analytics connected to stock settings?

Yes, indirectly: the low-stock threshold drives the Low classification in management lists, while forecasts rely on actual movements. Set the threshold in Stock Settings and watch forecasts on the analytics page together.

Can analytics be opened from the product row itself?

Yes. From any row actions menu in Stock Management choose advanced analytics to show that product panel with the same forecasts and recommendations without leaving the list.

Troubleshooting

1) If a no-data message appears, the product lacks enough movements; record sales and adjustments, then reload. 2) If numbers look stale, press the page refresh button; snapshots refresh on demand at most every 3 days. 3) If a product shows insufficient data quality, rely on manual movements and the low-stock threshold temporarily until data accumulates. 4) If the Advanced Analytics button is missing, check the inventory view permission on the staff account.

Important limitations

• Forecasts are guidance, not a guarantee of actual sales, especially during sudden ad campaigns. • New or rarely moved products show no forecasts until enough movements accumulate. • Sales outside Vareons are excluded unless recorded manually in Stock Management. • Snapshots refresh on demand at most every 3 days and are not always real-time.
