Revenue command center app on Vareons: install, profit, and SKU economics

The revenue app is the id revenue-command-center marketplace card opening /dashboard/revenue-command-center: a real-time financial auditing center with six tabs, of which Overview and SKU Economics are live, plus profit cards and an acquisition funnel fetched by date range.

The app installs from the /dashboard/apps marketplace with an Install button on the "Revenue" card described as the revenue command center for financial performance, after which an Open button leads to /dashboard/revenue-command-center. The card carries a Free badge.

The page header reads "Revenue Command Center" with a real-time auditing and projections description, plus a period picker asking for a date range with Apply and Cancel buttons that update the route with startDate and endDate parameters. The six tabs are Overview, SKU Economics, Profit Leaks, Scenario Forecast, Customer LTV, and Data Sources; the first two work while the rest show "coming soon".

The Overview tab shows four cards — true net profit, LTV-to-CAC ratio, contribution margin, and marketing spend (live plus campaigns) — then an SKU economics table with revenue, COGS, net margin, and status (Scaling, Stable, Tight, or Drain) plus a view-all-SKUs button, then the acquisition funnel (reach, engagement, cart adds, conversion) with a reload button, then paper-profit analysis (reported versus true profit and the gap: COGS, marketing, discounts, shipping), then the efficiency audit (MER and nCAC).

Data loads through two parallel requests: GET overview-tab-bundle (overview, CAC-LTV, SKU economics, and product net-profit bundle) and GET acquisition-funnel, all guarded by the finance.view and orders.view permissions with a sixty-per-minute cap. The view-all-SKUs button jumps to the second tab with a sortable table paging eighty rows up to five hundred, with refresh and load-more actions.

Figures compute from eligible-status orders in models/orders, pricing and stock data in Products, and marketing spend summed from Expense records in the marketing category, with GA4 data for the funnel when keys exist. The logic sits in the lib/revenue-command-center package: periods, tenant, cost maps, order metrics, the bundle, the funnel, and CAC-LTV math.

Setup steps in Vareons

  1. Install the app from the marketplace

Open /dashboard/apps, press Install on the revenue card, then press Open to reach /dashboard/revenue-command-center.

  2. Pick the period

From the period picker choose start and end dates and press Apply so the bundle and funnel load for the range.

  3. Review the profit cards

Read true net profit, LTV-to-CAC, contribution margin, and marketing spend, then compare against the paper profit.

  4. Open SKU economics

Press view-all-SKUs to jump to the second tab and sort products by margin and status (Scaling or Drain).

  5. Reload the funnel

When campaigns change, press reload funnel to refresh the reach, engagement, cart, and conversion stages.

Frequently asked questions

Is the revenue app free?

Yes, the card carries a Free badge with free billing type, and only needs the finance and orders view permissions to show data.

What is the difference between true net and paper profit?

Paper profit is what the store reports; true net subtracts COGS, marketing, discounts, and shipping, with the gap itemized.

Why do some tabs show coming soon?

Because only the Overview and SKU Economics tabs are implemented; the other four (leaks, forecast, LTV, sources) are under development.

How is marketing spend calculated?

By summing Expense records in the marketing category within the period, plus live campaign spend when integrated.

What are the four SKU statuses?

Scaling for strong margin, Stable for balanced, Tight for critical, and Drain for losers; sorting by them guides scale-or-stop decisions.

Troubleshooting

1) Blank page: confirm your role has the finance.view and orders.view permissions. 2) Zero figures: widen the date range; orders outside the period are excluded. 3) Rate-limit error: requests cap at sixty per minute; wait and reload. 4) Incomplete funnel: GA4 data needs the property and service-account keys.

Important limitations

• Four of six tabs are still "coming soon". • True net depends on the quality of entered cost and expense data. • The SKU table caps at five hundred rows in eighties. • The GA4 funnel is optional and needs external setup.
