Inventory management on Vareons for online stores in Egypt
Inventory management on Vareons is the dashboard area where a merchant controls product and variant quantities, tracks low stock, and reviews movement history, with quantities linked to stock tracking in orders.

Inventory management on Vareons lives at /dashboard/stock-management and lets a merchant search products by name, SKU or barcode, see and edit quantity, filter low or out-of-stock products, and review movement history.
For a simple product there are two adjustment methods: set a final quantity from the Quantity column, or add or remove an amount from the Quick adjust menu. A product with variants is adjusted through the colour × size matrix, where the final quantity is typed per cell and the row shows the total.
A low-stock threshold can be set from stock settings on the same page, so products at or below it are classified as low and appear under the Low filter. When a quantity reaches zero, selling stops by default, and Allow backorders can be enabled from settings or row policies to keep selling while backorders are recorded.
Inventory connects directly to order management: when stock tracking is enabled on a product, the order quantity is reserved at creation so it cannot be sold to another customer, stock is deducted at delivery, the reservation is released when an order is cancelled before delivery, and stock only returns from a return received with a Sellable disposition. Every quantity change is recorded as a movement that can be reviewed from View history.
Setup steps in Vareons
Open Stock Management
From the dashboard open /dashboard/stock-management, then use the search field at the top to find a product by name, SKU, or barcode.
Adjust a simple product quantity
Either click the number in the Quantity column, type the final quantity, then click outside to save; or open the row actions menu, use Quick adjust, enter a number, and click Add or Remove.
Adjust variant quantities
On a variant product row click Edit Stock, type the final quantity for each cell in the colour × size matrix, then click Save Changes. The row total is not edited inline.
Set the low-stock threshold
Click the settings button to open Stock Settings, enter a number in Low stock threshold, then save. Verify with the Low filter above the list.
Review movement history
From the row actions menu click View history to review the product's movement history and adjustment types (set / add / remove) with their reasons.
Frequently asked questions
Does Vareons support inventory management?
Yes. From /dashboard/stock-management merchants can search products, edit quantities, filter low and out-of-stock items, and review movement history.
What is the difference between set, add, and remove?
Set replaces the current quantity with a final number, while Add increases it by an amount and Remove decreases it by an amount, both from Quick adjust. Every change is recorded as a movement in the product history.
Can variant stock be tracked?
Yes. For a product with variants, the final quantity is typed per cell in the colour × size matrix, and the product row shows total inventory.
When does selling stop because of stock?
Selling stops when quantity reaches zero unless Allow backorders is enabled in stock settings or row policies. The low-stock threshold is an alert, not a sales block.
Is inventory connected to orders?
Yes. When stock tracking is enabled, the order quantity is reserved at creation, deducted at delivery, and released on a pre-delivery cancellation, and stock returns from a return only with a Sellable disposition.
Troubleshooting
1) If a variant row quantity is not editable, the total is not inline-editable; use Edit Stock and the cell matrix. 2) If a product is classified as low stock, review the Low stock threshold in Stock Settings. 3) If selling stopped at zero, that is the default; enable Allow backorders if you want to continue. 4) If a quantity looks unexpected, open View history to see the latest movements and their reasons.
Important limitations
• The low-stock threshold is an alert only and does not block sales. • Selling stops at zero by default unless backorders are enabled. • Stock returns from returns only when a return is received with a Sellable disposition. • Sales outside Vareons (such as an in-person sale) must be recorded manually from Stock Management.
