Discounts on Vareons let a merchant create coupons of different types with validity dates, apply them automatically without a code, and manage mandatory discounts that apply to orders.

Discounts are managed from /dashboard/discounts in the dashboard, and a coupon is created from /dashboard/discounts/create through a wizard that sets the discount type and value.
Four discount types are available: percentage, which subtracts a percent from the total or eligible products; fixed amount, which subtracts a set figure; free shipping, which removes or reduces shipping fees; and buy X get Y, which grants an extra quantity or product when the condition is met.
The code is optional: if a code such as SALE20 is entered, the customer uses it at checkout; if the code field is left empty, the discount applies automatically when conditions match. When an order is created from the storefront, Vareons queries active auto-apply coupons and applies the most suitable one to the order.
Discounts carry validity dates, and an auto-expire flow returns expired coupons to an inactive state.
Alongside regular coupons there are "mandatory discounts", managed from a separate area and applied to the order unless explicitly excluded. They appear to the customer as an imposed discount.
The discount reflects directly on the order total and appears as a separate discount line in the order details, so the effect of each promotion stays visible when reviewing an order or its margin.
Setup steps in Vareons
Open the Discounts page
From the dashboard open /dashboard/discounts, then click Create New Coupon or open /dashboard/discounts/create.
Choose the discount type and set its value
Choose the discount type: percentage, fixed amount, free shipping, or buy X get Y, then enter the discount name and value.
Enter a code or leave it empty
Enter the discount code if the customer should use it at checkout, or leave it empty so the discount applies automatically when conditions match.
Set validity dates
Set the validity start and end dates. Expired coupons are returned to an inactive state, so they do not apply to new orders.
Save and test at checkout
Save until the discount-saved confirmation appears, then test checkout by entering the code or letting the automatic discount apply, and confirm the discount line appears in the order total.
